Welcome to Ishpeming ("in the sky"), a beautiful year round private lakefront cottage on Manitoulin island- the largest freshwater island in the world. This relaxing four season vacation home sleeps 7 with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, and an elevated west-facing patio offering spectacular sunset views of Lake Mindemoya. The open concept living dining room has a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that are perfect for preparing meals, cozying up and making lasting memories. The space This open concept cottage is tastefully decorated and includes Anishnabe-inspired decor. The home offers 1200 square feet of indoor living space including vaulted ceiling in the open concept living, dining and kitchen area with two separate bedrooms, one full bathroom (with tub) and a large expansive upper level deck and yard. The quiet and relaxing private lot is located off Lake Mindemoya, one of 100 inland lakes on Manitoulin Island. Neighbours live year-round on both sides. The lake offers stunning turquoise water with swimmer friendly temperatures, and a private lakefront with a slow decline from the shoreline, which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing or just splashing around in the water. In the winter, many enjoy ice-fishing and snowmobiling on the frozen lake. The grounds also include a fire pit and seating area surrounded by full-growth cedar trees. The forested driveway from the main road is perfect for short morning walks. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, full closet, and private patio door with lakefront views. The second bedroom includes one bunk bed (double bed on the bottom and single bed on top), a closet and a view of the back wooded area and driveway. The living room has a pull-out couch with a double bed mattress for temporary guests only. We also offer a small cot for extra sleeping arrangements. There is also small working desk in the kitchen dining area (no computer chair). Guest access Guests will have access to the complete main level of the cottage. The lower level of the house will be unoccupied and locked during all stays. Guests will have full private access to the front and backyards including driveway with unlimited parking. Other things to note The house operates on the following: 1) Septic system: 2) Water tank: The water is delivered from the local community's water tower twice per week and and is completely safe to drink. 3) Energy source: The house operates on propane as its primary source of fuel for the furnace and AC along with electricity options for appliances. There is a hot water tank on the premise. 4) Air quality system is a Life breath system. Because this is a new build, the air system must be kept on. 5) Garbage: Garbage is picked up weekly. Guests must dispose of their garbage and recycling in the garbage bins located on premise. 6) WiFi: The house operates on a reliable WI-FI internet provider. Guests can stream videos and use zoom with no problems.
