The Music Box, rooftop deck, 25 min to AVL
Description
The Music Box is a unique tiny home, located less than 3 miles from historic downtown Marshall, and is the ideal spot for a private mountain getaway. Enjoy all that Western North Carolina has to offer, with skiing, hiking, horseback riding, and white water rafting all within a 20-25 minute drive from the property. Less than 25 minutes to Asheville, Weaverville, Mars Hill, and Hot Springs. The space Built in 2023 by local builder, Nanostead, this Green Built Certified home is the smaller of two vacation rentals located at Redmon Ridge. The Music Box is the ideal mountain getaway spot to unplug and unwind. Perfect for a couple or small family, this 256 square foot house packs big views into a tiny space. Floor to ceiling windows facing the Blue Ridge Mountains afford spectacular views from every seat in the house. As of April 2025, one way mirrored Solar Film has been added to the windows to provide guests with increased privacy as well as to maintain temperature control inside the house. Whether strumming a guitar in the living room, lounging in bed from the sleeping loft, sipping coffee from the front porch, or enjoying a glass of wine from the rooftop deck, the views have to be seen to be believed. We believe the mountains are best enjoyed unplugged, so we’ve provided a record player with a curated collection of records, plus an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, ukelele, and tambourine for guest use. There’s no TV in the Music Box, so as not to spoil the views from the other glowing rectangles (the windows.) Not able to fully unplug? Don’t worry, we’ve provided lightning fast fiber internet wifi. While we are happy to host families and are dog friendly, the ladder to the sleeping area means the Music Box is ideally suited to a couple traveling alone. Up to 2 dogs allowed with $50 pet fee for each pet. Looking for more space for kids and pets? Check out our sister listing, the Field House, at www.airbnb.com/h/fieldhouseatredmon Guest access You’ll have access to the entire house, including front porch and rooftop deck. There is also a shared fire pit between the two houses that guests from either house are welcome to use. Other things to note We strongly recommend arriving before dark if it is your first time visiting Redmon Ridge. The road is windy making it difficult to find the mountain side driveway in the dark. If you arrive after 9pm and have a hard time finding the entrance, hosts may not be available by phone to assist.
