Get away from it all when you stay under the stars and enjoy home away from home in nature at this pet friendly farm stay. This cottage is located on a pretty 10 acres separate from the main house with a private dog safe yard. Pheasants Nest is located near the thriving town of Tahmoor, situated centrally from local shops, swimming holes, bush walking, the Southern Highlands, wineries, wedding venues, shops, markets, restaurants and more. Enjoy your private farm stay to unwind and relax. The space Pinebar Farm During your stay you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature in this quiet farm closely backing on to hundreds of acres of crown land that is home to the famous Mermaid Pools. The farm is home to sheep, cows, horses, ponies and chickens that you will see from your private yard providing you with a real farm experience. You are likely to see some native wildlife particularly kangaroos and wallabies - none of which will enter the private yard so you can rest assured your pets will be safe (or the other way around!) We invite you to stay with your friends, family and fur babies. Please note that the barn yard is fully fenced and dog 'safe'. Please ensure your pet is house trained and do not let them on the furniture. We don't mind if you leave your pet in the yard whilst you do some sight seeing and are happy to watch them them if you need peace of mind. There is minimal traffic as we are located on a private road so there is minimal traffic noise. We are a located less than 5 minutes from Tahmoor, a central town that has Woolworths, Aldi, McDonalds, BWS, cafes and restaurants. We are also closely located to the newly rennovated Tahmoor pub that offers quality country meals. We are also located 5 minutes away to Kalinya Estate, home to one of the best local wedding venues and for guests and staff we can provide transport on request. For some more exploring we are just a 10 minute drive to historic Picton, or 15 minutes to Camden where there are many quality cafes, restaurants and pubs, or continue south for 25 minutes to the beautiful Southern Highlands. For night life, there are generally live bands at both the Tahmoor Pub and the historic George IV in Picton, both pubs have courtesy buses that can be booked for safe driving after some dinner, dancing and cocktails. The Barn The barn has been built with family comfort in mind. With three comfortable large bedrooms, two with queen sized beds and one with two king single beds, a full kitchen and large rustic bathroom (no bath) with plenty of living and dining space to make your stay comfortable. For added comfort towels and bed linen will are provided with extra bedding in the large linen cupboard and a trundle bed available on request for extra guests. A small wardrobe & drawers are available to hang your special garments. The kitchen consists of a electric stove and oven, microwave oven, full sized fridge, pots pans, cutlery, crockery. Pantry stores are available for use, and fresh bread, milk and eggs are provided. There is a shower, toilet and small vanity inside the tiny house. Tank rainwater is used, so please be water wise . The bathroom has fresh towels, toiletries including toilet paper all provided for your stay. For additional comfort is RC air-conditioning and a 48 inch flat screen TV with wifi and streaming TV services. There is also a DVD player and a myriad of DVDs should you need them. There are a large range of toys and board games for instant family fun. The completely private, safe and dog proof yard is a huge covering half an acre, offering guests and pets room to stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh air and views. There is also a cubby house and tyre swing for adventurous kids or adults. Outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ are provided. Close at hand is the fire pit (fire rating dependent) – all ready for you to enjoy. Please note: Complete privacy is assured. Your host resides on the property and will be contactable in person or by phone at most times during your stay. Guest access Guests have complete access to the barn and private yard to use for their stay. The area is very private and quiet with plenty of room to relax, stretch your legs and enjoy. Keys are left on the table for guests to use, though being away from anywhere there is no real need to lock the property - up to you!
