We are in the heart of Little Italy; The Feast of the Assumption (each year in August) is directly in front of our house (church parking lot). Just down the street you can discover some of the best Italian Restaurants in not only Cleveland, but the State of Ohio, including Guarino's Restaurant - Cleveland's oldest restaurant. You will also discover shops, bakeries, bars - you name it! Don't be surprised if around 4 or 5 PM, you smell the restaurants cooking their fresh bread and Italian cuisine! It's easy to spend all day walking around Little Italy exploring local shops and tasting the pastries, Italian Ice & fine cuisine. It's a wonderful place to visit. Currently we have both a charcoal and propane grill, table and chairs and a privacy fence. We have big plans for the yard, visit us next time to see the ongoing updates. (Please note that the back and front porch are connected to the downstairs unit and are only for the downstairs tenants’ use.) A rarity for Little Italy: You will have two designated spots for parking in the driveway (for upstairs tenants’ use only – not designated for the downstairs tenants); street parking is also available. SPECIAL NOTE: The apartment is located on the second floor – Marked “B” on the door - Unit B / Up (entrance is on the side of the house off of the driveway – approximately 15 steps up). The area holds many historical homes - our home is over 120 years old. It retains much of it's charm. You will notice the distinct framework and style when you arrive. However, along with such charm, some of the flooring is uneven. The stairs, combined with some uneven flooring may make it a challenge for some people with impaired walking abilities. Please remember that this is a two-family home. You will have tenants below you. Please be a good neighbor and be mindful of your noise level and respect quite hours, as we have advised them of the same. You may, at times, hear the tenants below you. We have installed cork underlayment to the flooring and extra insulation around the heat ducts to assist with noise control. Cameras are installed on the outside of the house only. Cameras are on each of the doors – one on the front door, one on the side door and one that covers both the back door and basement door. Cameras are in place for security. Note that we can see if more than the disclosed amount of people arrive for your stay. Unfortunately, any guests that have more than the house capacity (6 people), will result in a terminated contract and must vacate immediately. The home is in a family neighborhood and large parties are not allowed. We ask that you keep noise to an acceptable level for a family neighborhood. Other things to note The RTA redline is also a two-minute walk away, which takes you just about anywhere you need to go, including downtown, the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame & airport. Please visit the RTA website for routes and information. Also, within walking distance is the Cleveland Museum of Art, Botanical Gardens, Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University and University Circle. Close to University Hospital, Cleveland State University, Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, the trendy Coventry District, The Jack Casino, Severance Hall, Playhouse Square, Edgewater Park, downtown, nightlife, museums, restaurants/dining and all that Cleveland has to offer. To get you started with your stay (may be enough for the whole stay – depending on the length of your stay), we provide coffee, cream, sugar, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwashing detergent & garbage bags. We provide linens, towels & blankets. Wifi is also provided; TVs are smart tvs – you would need to use your own access codes for streaming platforms – please remember to log out of your accounts upon departure.
