Cabin by the river Polhov Gradec

Relax with the whole family in this quiet and spacious accommodation. Our cottage in Polhov Gradec is located in a quiet location near the river and forest. There are plenty of green spaces and a spacious courtyard perfect for gatherings and picnics. There is also a large Finnish sauna and a wooden pavilion next to the cottage. The space When you enter the cottage, you will find the bathroom and toilet immediately on the right. If you continue down the hallway, you will reach the central area with a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, as well as a sofa that can be converted into a bed if there are more people. The central part has an exit to another terrace and an entrance to both bedrooms, and the second bedroom in the hallway can also serve as a pleasant reading corner, as large windows offer plenty of light and a beautiful view of nature. Other things to note A great place to stay for anyone who loves nature, walks and hikes. Near the cottage you can find a nice walking path if you go to Grmada (you go over the bridge and turn left). You can opt for lunch at the "Mehačk" Rural Tourism (open on Saturday and Sunday) where you can try delicious Slovenian food that is not too expensive. They also have a very good wine - Teran, and the property offers a beautiful view. It's about a 45-minute walk. Another interesting walking path is if you go along the asphalt road or along the slope (on the second turn left). Next, about 10 minutes away is the Church of St. Urša, and from there to Grmada it is about 30 minutes. You can also drive to the agritourism "Mehačk" by car and park by the road and from there go around the hill "Grmada" or to Katarina in the inn "Dobnikar" - a wide choice of food (about 1.5 hours walk) open every day. You can also get there by car. It is also a good choice if you go on foot to St. Lovrenc (about 2 hours walk). A very nice view of the church and the Polhov Gradec hills. Don't forget to take water with you because there is no hut at the top. From the hut you go to the castle where you can see the post office museum. This is where Count Blagaj lived, after whom the flower "Blagajevka" is named, which grows only in this area. Then you go to the right past the yellow house - Beekeeping and continue along the trail. In the meantime, you can also visit the (family) Polhov Gradec Adventure Park (call first). The info point is in the Bife before you turn the car up the hill towards the castle from the Ljubljana side and there is also a bus station. At the info point, you can rent electric bicycles and get more information. You can get snacks at the "Polhograjski dom" inn, but you can also eat at the local "Pri Pratkarju" inn next to the info point. There is also a shop between the info point and the castle.
