Welcome to a hidden gem, set on acreage with peaceful rolling hills and huge trees. It's only 30 min. to KC stadiums, museums, and BBQ; a rare find, for sure. Cook outside, play games, or curl up with a good book in front of the electric fireplace. The property is perfect for a Sunday stroll or a splash in the creek. If you like hiking or star-gazing or just enjoy nature through windows, this location is for you. You might even find a couple of friendly farm pets on the premises. Stay awhile! The space The property features a full three-bedroom lower-level unit with a private drive and private entrance. Each bedroom sleeps two with built-in or walk-in closets. The master bedroom has a walkout to the porch area where we can supply an outdoor grill or wood for the fire pit. The smallest bedroom has a walk-in closet with a lighted mirror and vanity area for the teenager's delight. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower and toilet area separated by a solid door to the vanity, which is perfect for multiple people getting ready in the morning! The kitchen is fully furnished with an electric stove/oven, full-sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, electric kettle, personal blender, Nuwave oven, electric skillet, toaster, pots and pans, tableware, pancake griddle, mini waffle maker, slow cooker, and cabinets with plenty of storage space! The unit has a full-size pantry also. You will likely spend most of your time in the living room, where the electric fireplace will keep you nice and toasty, or the smart TV can provide entertainment if it's not pleasant outdoors. The large recliner will be welcome after a long hike or just sit and watch the birds out your front window. We have books, games, and puzzles for the whole family. There is a separate laundry room with laundry soap supplied, an ironing board, and a study space. Some cell phone coverage is spotty in the valley, but wifi works just fine. Our place is family-friendly in all seasons. The kids will love the huge swing and couples we have a bench swing for you. If you are coming in the winter, bring snow boots, hats, and mittens, and we will provide snow sleds and some of the greatest sledding hills. If you venture out in the summer, wading in the creek, and rock-hunting is just out your front door. We have many outdoor yard games available upon request, and some inviting trails just across the creek. Spring and fall are beautiful here! If you are bringing younger children, let us know. We can provide a pack-n-play or baby gate as needed. There are blackout curtains and a white noise machine if you don't want to pack yours. Guest access We will give you some hiking boundaries of the property when you arrive. We ask that you not get near the upstairs unit doors or windows and stay clear of the other buildings on the property. The inside stairwell is blocked, locked, and not to be entered. This rental is all one level. There are no stairs to ascend, and the entrance is well-lit. We just ask that you drive and park only on the lower private drive during your stay. Other things to note The dog and cat are our special pets. Please do not feed them anything or harm them in any way. We are happy to share them with you. They are not allowed indoors.
