A beautiful apartment for 5 people, on the 1st and 2nd floors of “Leopoldina”, a traditional Casa Colonica in south-eastern Tuscany. If you are looking to relax in unspoiled countryside, but within easy reach of some of Italy’s most stunning towns, this is the place for you! With terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, the apartment retains the original charm of the old house. Other things to note The living/dining room has an open fireplace, in front of this is a dining table and chairs, plus a sofa and flat-screen TV. Elegant tiled stairs lead up to the master bedroom. Through an archway off the living room is an attractive fitted kitchen which is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and coffee machine. Outdoors, the gardens, both private and communal, have been as carefully considered as the interiors. There is a small loggia balcony, off the living area, with a table and chairs, where guests can enjoy a glass of the fine local wine. The apartment also has its own private garden and pergola area in the main garden for meals al fresco. The shared swimming pool has multiple sun loungers and parasols for guests to relax. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The elegant master bedroom is on the 2nd floor and has a wrought iron double bed, flat-screen TV, wardrobe and attractive antique furniture. Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is on the first floor and is furnished with 2 single beds and a wardrobe. Bedroom 3: On the first floor this cosy bedroom has a single bed and a wardrobe. Bathrooms Bathroom 1: On the first floor, this attractive bathroom is equipped with a shower, bidet, basin and WC Bathroom 2: On the second floor, this bathroom has a full bath with a shower head, plus a basin, bidet and WC. The town of Cortona is well worth a visit. Its Etruscan walls contain medieval houses and Renaissance palaces. There are many excellent restaurants and cafés to suit all budgets. For guests who want to cook at home, Cortona’s weekly market takes place every Saturday. Here you will find the best local produce. For fashion lovers, the Valdichiana Outlet is just 20 minutes away.
