Beautiful Historic Cottage - 3 bedrooms & garden

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located in the traditional Cumbrian village of Greystoke with amenities including a pub, village shop, summer outdoor swimming pool, football pitch/playing field, children’s playground, historic church and quirky art workshops. Just 8 miles to Ullswater to enjoy swimming and SUPing and easy access to glorious walks in the Lake District fells. The cottage is part of a feature packed historic Cumbrian long farmhouse built in 1611. The space You have use of a comfortable living room with smart TV, stereo, CDs (old skool!), books and jigsaws. Relax in front of the log burner. You’ll have a basket of logs and kindling to get you started and you can order more from a local supplier (pay locally). The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, cooker and hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is plenty of crockery including plastic sets for the kids and glasses for your wine or G&T (ice trays provided!). There’s a large dining table and chairs including a beautiful oak window seat overlooking the enclosed garden. Here you can spot small birds on the feeder, pheasants and red squirrels. The local stable exercise their horses past the cottage sometimes too. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 Zip and Link superking bed or 2 single beds. This room will be made up as a superking but please let us know if you’d like 2 singles. A perfect walkers’ location with easy access to the fells.
