An amazing cliffside home rental "On The Rocks"

"On The Rocks" Cliffside Lodge is incomparable to the average Door County vacation rental property. It's on the water yet secluded in the forest. It's perfect for honeymooners and/or family reunions. If you're willing to drive to Gills Rock, it's worth it because you'll be surrounded by nature, sitting perched at the tip of the peninsula. Sunsets are fantastic as you can see across Green Bay to the UP. We've rented the lodge to people worldwide (Hong Kong, India & the UK) - come experience it! The space In the beginning, "On the Rocks” was a scuba diver's lodge. When I visited in 1978, I was 20 years old, and like all the others, mesmerized by the lodge's proximity to the cliffs and waters below. In 1991, I had recently returned from an overseas assignment, and was fortunate to be able to buy the property. "On The Rocks" Cliffside Lodge evolved from there. I describe the house as rustic elegance. It's roof has hand-split cedar shakes - a quality item from a bygone generation. The huge timbers are Douglas Fir. It is made from stone, wood and copper that has stood the test of time. The main level is comprised of a sunken living room, a kitchen and a master bedroom/bathroom which also has a two-person whirlpool. Above and below, are 4 other bedrooms, one that has bunkbeds for 8. This is how the house meets many purposes. Guest access You are renting the entire house - no one else will bother-interrupt-interfere with you. Other things to note Our philosophy: as important as hosts are, we should not be the reason why you rent our home. The house has to be as perfect as possible. We listen to feedback and continuously improve. This isn't an old house with a fresh coat of paint; it's a 64 year old structure that's always being improved.
