Charming, rustic, cottage on Penobscot Bay

Our simple, rustic cottage is perfect for a quiet getaway. You can read, birdwatch or relax on the wraparound porch with unobstructed views of the Bay and Isleboro. Stairs from the property lead directly to the ocean and beach. The property's 80 feet of water frontage is great for swimming and kayaking (two kayaks available for use) and during low tide, a wonderful spot for exploring sea life. We love our home on Penobscot Bay and strive to find renters who will be a good match. If you are looking for a restorative, no frills retreat - then this is the place. Details: We are 5 miles to Belfast, 6 miles to Lincolnville, and 10 miles to Camden. With two bedrooms +, the house sleeps 6 adults (one king, one queen bed plus a queen sofa bed in living room). There is an additional twin bed in the office and two cots located in the upstairs bedroom suitable for children. The kitchen, living and dining areas look out on to the bay. There are two full bathrooms - one upstairs and one downstairs. Guests will have the whole house to themselves. Things to note: We take our trash and recyclables to the Northport Transfer Station (town dump) and ask guests to please remove all trash and recyclables from the property at the end of their stay and take to Northport Transfer Station. Prepaid stickers are provided for your use. Like many older houses, our cottage has a closed septic system requiring some TLC. We pump it out annually as we are all trying to preserve the integrity of the Bay by not using leach fields. There are two dedicated parking spots in front of our house.
