The lake enjoys a local reputation for "good fishin". An aluminum boat is available but bring your own favorite fishing gear!! While rocking on the front porch you will enjoy seeing and hearing the resident red headed woodpeckers, blue birds, and brown headed nuthatches. The porch is the perfect site for your morning coffee and an afternoon cocktail. The back yard terrace is an ideal spot for family games and a picnic on the large, rustic wooden table. In downtown Soperton, less than 1 mile away, get bar-b-que, burgers or salads at Bone Yard's Bar-B-Que. If you're around on Friday, don't miss their fried catfish. Near downtown, you can pick from Pizza Hut, Subway or Chinese takeout. Zadee, Ga., only 5 miles east, offers a great, daily country buffet featuring Southern Fried Chicken. If cooking for the family is your preference, you can enjoy your own fully stocked kitchen and buy your groceries from the Piglet Grocery Store in Soperton, or other grocery markets in Vidalia (12 mi) or Dublin (20 mi).
