The great room features a Danish wood burning stove, slate floors with radiant heat, granite counters, new stainless appliances, wide board oak floors hand hewn from the property's trees and a circular red oak staircase in the shape of a double helix. A brilliant crystal chandelier casts rainbows around the sunlit room, and original, whimsical lighting fixtures of hand blown glass/hammered and woven copper delight the eye. Enjoy a leisurely soak in the claw-foot slipper tub downstairs or shower under the rainhead. Upstairs you feel as if you are taking an outdoor shower in a tree house. Guest access When you rent the Barn, you will have a private patio and access to the gardens and wooded areas our five-acre property as well as the Blue Mountain Nature Preserve, which is adjacent to the property. Beautiful views everywhere. Other things to note There is a queen sized bed in the upstairs bedroom, two twin beds in the downstairs bedroom, and a comfortable sofa that can sleep another person.
