Basement guest suite of historic home. It's nice and roomy, with your own bathroom UP ONE FLOOR OFF THE KITCHEN. You have a separate entrance off the back patio. You'll love the location of our home! Walk just 3 blocks to the Washington State Capitol and less than a mile to downtown where there are many good restaurants, live theaters, a performing arts center, a movie theater, a farmers' market, a children's museum, and more. Grocery stores within walking distance. Free shuttle to downtown! The space Our 1907 house is an Olympia Heritage Site. It has 3 floors plus a basement, a separate garage, and is surrounded by small perennial gardens. The foursquare layout is open and flowing. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on the second floor, a top-floor office, a basement guest/rec room, office, and laundry. Guest access Your bedroom is in the basement and your bathroom is on the first floor, off the kitchen. You'll share the main floor kitchen/living with the owner and any other renters (whose bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor). You can access the basement through a separate entrance from the back patio or from the main entry. Note that the shared laundry is in the basement so we are sometimes down there; that area is separated from the rental area by a curtain. We don't need to go through your area to get to the laundry. The basement space is very basic. The sofa bed is a double futon. We keep it clean and cozy down there, but want you to know that it's not as nice as the rest of the house! You are welcome to use the main floor (kitchen, living, dining, full bath), basement laundry facilities, front porch, and back patio. During your stay One of us will usually be home to greet you, and we can check in on schedules then. We are usually in and out during the day and evening. We look forward to hearing about your trip, and will be happy to help plan any excursions you have in mind. We respect your privacy, and will stay out of your way unless you need us. Other things to note We are happy to provide coffee, tea, and snack bars, plus share our staples (milks, oils, spices, etc) and condiments. There are several great eating spots within walking distance, or you can cook your own meal in our kitchen.
