Known for sugar-sand beaches, fishing, shelling, and peaceful harbors, the island offers a truly relaxed atmosphere—no high-rises, no traffic, and mostly golf-cart travel. There is one island restaurant (Rum Bay), plus an ice cream stand and gift shop, with water taxis available to nearby mainland dining and shopping. Important Notes: Island access is by car ferry or private boat only (ferry fees paid by guest) Home is elevated per current building codes; stairs are required to access the main living area Most guests explore the island by golf cart or bike, adding to the relaxed, small-island atmosphere. The car ferry is operated by Palm Island Transit and runs daily during the following hours: Sunday–Thursday: 6:30 AM – 10:00 PM Friday: 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM Saturday: 6:30 AM – 12:00 AM Ferry fees are paid directly by guests and are currently $55 per passenger vehicle or $10 per pedestrian per trip. Discounted multi-ride pass books are available and can be purchased in advance or on your first ferry crossing.
