Beacon Hilltop Home near the Forest

Hello, everybody...! We have a pet-friendly, comfortable private room here in our home, south-facing with excellent light, minutes driving from downtown Beacon and a stone's throw from a local hiking trail system. This home is a lived-in space with warmth and character and we welcome people of all backgrounds to come and share it with us. * Due to COVID-19, we ask guests to wear a KN95 or regular mask when in common areas. We can provide these for you. * We are actively sanitizing the home. The space My partner Monika and I live here in a three-story house bordering the woods with a porch in the front, a deck in the back, and yards/gardens on both sides. The property is fairly private and situated in the corner of a quiet residential neighborhood. Our private guest room is on the first floor and fits two very comfortably, or up to three with an air mattress or cot. There is a bathroom on the same floor and another upstairs. Also on the first floor we have a full kitchen and dining area. We ask guests to wear a mask in this area. We have extra chairs and tray tables available, we want to make you as comfy as possible so please don't hesitate to ask us for anything. Pets are allowed and welcome. Just let us know so that we can keep the cat separate and if needed, introduce the dogs to each other. Guest access We have made the private room as comfortable as possible so that the dining area and kitchen may not need to be used (goal being to reduce the risk of spreading COVID). However, I will provide KN95 masks for you to use if you need these common areas. We will not use the downstairs bathroom during your visit so that it will be only for your use. There will be space in the refrigerator for you. I can provide your own microwave. We also have a cot and air mattress, in addition to the full size bed. I have spray disinfectant in each room and I disinfect the space after my use and my brother's use, please do the same. Thank you!! During your stay We both know the area very well and will be glad to help you plan for your stay with us by offering suggestions on local activities, places to eat, nightlife, etc. If you are arriving by train, we would be happy to pick you up from the station and to get you back there at the end of your stay. Also, we love hosting pets! If you are bringing your pet along we are available for pet-sitting while you are out and about. If you have allergies, let us know - we don’t typically keep the cat in the guest room, but she does sneak in from time to time. And if you're here for peace and quiet, we'd love to give you your personal space. Other things to note * Due to COVID-19, we ask guests to wear a KN95 mask or regular mask when in common areas. We can provide these for you. * Sanitation supplies available and we sanitize each room before and after using it. We have two housemates who live on the upper floors, one who works as an English teacher and the other is my brother Tom. They are often quite busy and work late, so you may or may not run into them. Also, a word about our animals: we have a friendly cat Poppy (likely will be shy and hide at first). We also have a basset hound mix. Our dogs love to play. Please know that we keep our pups as quiet as possible but they may bark from time to time. We take every measure to keep them quiet, especially in the mornings and evenings! Let us know if you need specific quiet hours or would like us to be sure they do not come close to you (we have baby gates set up).
