Unwind and relax in our tiny French Country Cottage! Set off in the woods in a very peaceful and quiet spot. Watch the sunset right out of the large back window. Perfect for getting out of town and having a mind, body, and soul reset. The cabin does have minimal electricity with a small solar battery. Enough to charge your phones. You definitely won’t find the crowds out here. It’s super peaceful out on our private property! Relax and enjoy nature, and simplicity in our tiny aframe cottage. Inside you'll have two comfy 10 inch thick single mattress and a funton couch that can be used for a bed if needed. Kick back with a good book or listen to the birds on the porch, and the rain on the tin roof! Have breakfast and dinner over the grill, and there’s plenty of room outside to cook over a campfire and have smores! Just steps away outside is a private outhouse with a toilet and battery operated shower. We are off grid and have no running water on site, but we do have rainwater for the shower. You can warm up some water over the fire or leave the water in the shower bag in the sun for a warm shower! It gets pretty cold in the cabin during the cooler seasons so we have a portable kerosene heater and blankets to keep you warm and cozy. You’ll have access to the aframe cabin, toilet and shower area, as well as open room to walk the property. We’re usually on the property and can help should you need any assistance. A clean and friendly laundrymat is not far down the road in the small fishing town of Machias.
