We are nestled within a quiet, wooded, private residential neighborhood just off the access road to Tenney Mountain Resort. The space Delightful, clean 3-bedroom/2-bath home, surrounded by trees beside a babbling brook. Relax in the upstairs living room with electric fireplace and oversized sectional or downstairs sitting area with pellet stove; eat in modern kitchen; private deck with attached three season sunroom. This mountain-side property featuring a babbling brook was built, is maintained, and has been kept in the family for 50+ years. From the deceivingly unassuming front steps you'll enter into the upper level boasting vaulted ceiling with a large floor-to-ceiling natural stone chimney anchoring an open concept kitchen/living area; plus main bedroom, 3/4 bath, and sliding glass door to our deck (with gas grill) and an attached sunroom. Situated on our lower level are the two remaining bedrooms, separated by a sitting area with pellet stove plus TV, and full bath. Can comfortably sleep 6 adults and 2 children (1 king, 2 queen beds, 1 sectional sofa, or bring-your-own air mattress). Two coil-spring beds with memory foam pad and one memory foam mattress provide options for the discerning sleeper. Bureaus and nightstands with lamps in every bedroom. Full climate control with Central AC/Heat, plus pellet stove. Fiber (FTTH) high-speed internet (100/100), with Roku TVs. The three-season sunroom includes power/lighting – making it a versatile hang out area. Washer/Dryer available on request, for an additional fee. Nearby activities include: ICE CASTLES 30 minutes away, Tenney Mountain Ski Resort one minute away; Newfound Lake is 15 minutes south; Polar Caves/Rumney Rocks 10 minutes northwest; The entrance to the White Mountain National Forest is 20 minutes north, and the Mt. Washington Cog Railway/Mt. Washington Hotel/ Bretton Woods Ski Area about 1 hour. Plymouth, NH features Plymouth State University, Speare Memorial Hospital, plus any amenity you could need. Grocery stores including Market Basket, Hannaford, and a Walmart Supercenter are 10 minutes away. Downtown Plymouth hosts multiple, locally-owned restaurants offering a variety of foods. For outdoor activities beyond Tenney Mountain: To our north are Waterville Valley (30 minutes); Cannon & Loon about 35-40 minutes and Bretton Woods/Mt. Washington area (1 hour). To our south is Newfound Lake (15 minutes) and Ragged Mountain Resort (35 minutes). Your stay at the Brookside Getaway supports local NH jobs from cleaning, to maintenance and management. No pets allowed on the property without prior permission. If we find pets present we will withhold the security deposit in full. Please note that we accept no responsibility for losses, damages or injuries sustained by any visitor. We are also required to point out that during your stay you are solely responsible for the house and its moveable contents. You must take care to avoid damage and losses AND YOU MUST DECLARE ANY DAMAGE/LOSS that may have occurred during your stay immediately or prior to vacating the property. Our upstairs fireplace has been replaced with an electric fire display with heat. Except for the pellet stove, using our provided pellets, on the lower level, NO WOOD FIRES of any kind are permitted on the property. Twin burner gas grill available for cooking. Guest access The floor plan allows for your whole group to be together upstairs while simultaneously providing space to break away into smaller groups all around the house. All rooms feature operable, oversized windows to allow you to listen to the brook. The bedrooms are purposely situated for privacy – no bunk-house feel here. The home is truly unique. Other things to note Minimum age requirement to book is 28 years old. Please use caution if attempting to walk down to the brook, as the embankment is steep and covered with leaves and other natural ground cover which makes access challenging. If you do attempt to access the brook you do so at your own risk.
