LOCATION Perfect if you look for a quiet spot with easy parking without the constant noise of the city center, located at just 1KM of the city center in a family neighborhood. You can walk if you enjoy it, or rent a bicycle and get almost everywhere in Tulum Town in 5-15 minutes, or to Tulum Beach in 25-30 minutes. If you expect to walk out and immediately find plenty of people walking and a lot of commercial activity, our place is not a good fit for your needs and we suggest you book directly at the city center. We're setting clear expectations about the location and we want to make sure this is a 5 STAR location for your specific needs before you book. MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCATION You will be staying at CASA WAYRA TULUM in a residential family neighborhood close to the city center (1km) . Most of the neighbors are working people who lived here for decades and even if most of their properties are not upscale and they could take better care of outside of their houses, it's very safe to walk around the neighborhood during daytime. When you go out the property, you'll see family houses and apartments of the neighbors. You'll find an Oxxo store 400 meters away, a small market and laundry stores walking 400 meters, and a small store 50 meters away from the house. If you drive a car, or you enjoy riding a bicycle for 5-10 minutes to get somewhere, our location will be very convenient. Stray dogs are common in Tulum, including in our neighborhood. Most are harmless, but if you're walking your pet or cycling, we recommend staying aware. NOTE ABOUT THE ELECTRICITY IN TULUM: Tulum is a fast-growing small Caribbean village and sometimes the city experiences electricity, water, and/or internet outages caused by climatological issues.
