Quaint beachfront home with bulkhead and swim float.
Description
The best happy hour is whatever hour you choose at "Preble Beach." Bring your floaties, kayaks and sunscreen, kick back and enjoy the stunning sunsets. It's all about the views! Huge picture windows ensure you won't miss a sunrise or set, with the Olympic Mountains as your backdrop in the distance. Preble Beach is on a bulkhead, right over the water - when the tide is high it feels like living on a boat! The space Preble Beach is a two bedroom, two bathroom open floor plan, waterfront rambler. Both bedrooms have large closets and dressers. One room has a single queen with an ensuite bath, the second bedroom has two twins. The second bath is large and is accessed via common space. The house sits up on a bulkhead, has a huge deck with unobstructed views, stair access down to the beach (shared with our fabulous neighbors), outdoor shower and parking for two vehicles. The utility room has a washer and dryer, games and outdoor towels. The kitchen is equipped - drip coffee maker, toaster, water kettle, stocked with pots and pans, plates, cups etc. Large dining table inside as well a breakfast bar with two stools, additional table and chairs outside on the deck. Children - Preble Beach is NOT set up for toddlers. This house can be a huge safety hazard for curious little ones as the deck does NOT have rails or gates preventing your wee wanderers from finding their way down the concrete steps onto the beach/into the water, onto the neighbors property, or onto the busy road. The house is best enjoyed by immobile infants, or confident children who understand boundaries and potential risks. For similar reasons, this is why we do not accept pets at our house. We also do not provide any pack n' plays, cribs, high chairs etc. Guest access Electronic key pad, the code and instructions will be given to you a few days prior to arrival. Other things to note The Hood Canal beaches are a mixture of sand, rock, oysters and shells, so appropriate footwear is strongly encouraged - think Aqua Sox, Tevas and Keen water shoes. Guests are welcome to pick oysters and clams if they obtain an appropriate shellfish license. Every now and then warm red tides or algae blooms come through the canal causing a temporary hold on shellfish harvest, please plan accordingly and conform to local laws.
