The Apartment is in a convenient location for exploring the Tryon International Equestrian Center, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Rumbling Bald access. PLEASE read the entire description before booking. No smoking allowed. We also have other lodging on the property, so check with us if you need more space. The space The space is a private basement studio apartment with a separate, lockable entrance. If we do not offer enough available dates for your stay in the area, check with us and we may be able to open new dates on a case-by-case basis. We offer comfortable sleeping for four (a fifth could sleep on a cot at request, and at an extra charge) -- one full bed in a private bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the common area. Apartment entertainment: No wifi due to rural location. No cable TV or TV, but there are two Redbox movie rental locations less than five minutes away, so bring your laptops to watch movies. The apartment is located on a small hobby farm, and guests may occasionally hear general farm noises from time to time (tractors, lawnmowers, a rooster, etc.), but we do our best to make your stay as peaceful as possible. Guest access There are other separate rentals on the property that may or may not be in use at the time you are here. The only shared space for other guests is the great outdoors and parking. Other things to note We are in a remote/rural location. If dirt, bugs and animals bother you then this may not be the place for you. We have seasonal ladybug and stink bug invasions (both are harmless), and they unavoidably find themselves indoors at times. Access to medical facilities is about 30 minutes away. 2018 WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES: Housing for spectators AND competitors for WEG 2018 is VERY, VERY limited. Because we are so rural, the closest lodging is an hour away in all directions, and all local hotels are booked through September. We are only 15 miles from the equestrian center (without traffic). Booking with us means you'll get to conveniently enjoy the games, but be able to come back to a peaceful, private home-like setting. When thousands of people show up in tiny, somewhat unprepared Tryon and Mill Spring, NC, it is going to be a ZOO here! Accommodations, or a lack of them, are a hush, hush subject around town. Plan in advance by booking with us and we guarantee that you'll be VERY happy you did. Chickens, dogs, cats and other furry animals are housed on the same property outdoors, and may be visible and audible from time to time. We do our best to keep the rental area quiet and peaceful for guest, but because this is a farm there may be various farm sounds audible from time to time but not before 12 p.m. or after 9 p.m.
