The house has a mix of custom made furniture and art by the owner and his father and serves as his family's getaway between guest stays. From the patio of the cottage, you are just footsteps away from the shoreline. It is a shallow water channel off of Palmer lake and also connected to Long lake. Lots of birds to be spotted and fish to be caught. The area is diverse in real estate from grand lake houses to mobile homes. The United States Congress recognizes Colon as "The Magic Capital of the World" and you will see that theme around town. Overall, a very rural area, but there are several good spots to eat around town and there are no fast food chains and plenty of clean country air.
