Situated in one of Cape Neddick's most convenient and quiet beach enclaves, Idlewild Cottage is an ideal getaway for couples, writers, yogis, or anyone wanting a break from the hustle and bustle of life. Oh, and you can bring the dog. The space New for 2018! This beautiful one-bedroom cottage is perfect for a couple, but offers ample room and sleeping space in common areas for additional guests or children. The bedroom offers a queen bed, the living room features a queen sleeper sofa, and the three-season porch has a full daybed with twin trundle for those who enjoy sleeping in the fresh air. All bed linens are provided. For those take work with them, there’s a quiet corner with a writer’s desk, plus complimentary wifi for all guests. The TV comes with a digital antenna for local channels, DVD player, and Chromecast so guests can enjoy the use of their own streaming subscriptions. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay: refrigerator, electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and utensils. There are even dog bowls for your fur baby. There are two full bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a shower/tub combo. Bath linens are provided for your convenience. A washer/dryer is also available for guest use. Unwind on the deck with a glass of wine, or cozy up on the three-season porch on a rainy day with a book. There is a grill available in all seasons. One well-behaved dog is welcome to join you for a $100 flat pet fee (to be added after reservation request). The cottage has a grassy yard, but because it is not fenced, we request you keep your dog leashed at all times. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pet to keep things sanitary for the next guests. We provide waste bags and a bin outside for your convenience. For the health of our guests and the property, smoking is not permitted at Idlewild, inside or outside. Guest access The home and yard is available to guests, but the boathouse/garage is not for guest use. For those traveling with a dog, the $100 flat pet fee will be added to the reservation after the booking request is made.
