This 2500 sq. ft. contemporary home is located on a partially wooded acre lot in a beautiful family neighborhood only 2 minutes to IC, 5 minutes to downtown/the Commons, and 10 minutes to Cornell. This comfortable home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and sleeps 9 (1 king size bed, 2 full size beds, 1 full size futon, 1 twin bed). It is a contemporary style home with cathedral ceilings. large windows, and the kitchen and dining rooms are open to the sunken living room. The main area of the house is upstairs along with 3 of the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with the other bedroom and a third full bath downstairs. The yard backs up to the woods and there is a small fenced area, deck with BBQ grill, fire ring, and playground. Our back woods are home to deer, turkey, fireflies, owls, woodpeckers, a woodchuck, and numerous other animals. There are stairs between the living room and main level, from outside to the main level, and between the upstairs and downstairs- so this home is not suitable for people with mobility challenges. We are less than 2 miles from Ithaca College, Upper Buttermilk Falls Park, several hiking trails, and a bakery/cafe/Purity ice cream shop. Downtown Ithaca/the Commons is a scenic 5 minute drive. Cornell University, Wegmans (a full service grocery), a winery, and numerous other parks, hiking/biking trails, waterfalls, and swimming holes are within a short, easy 10-15 minute drive. The bus usually runs hourly to downtown; since this is a rural area and stops are few and far between, you just need to walk 5-10 minutes to the main road and flag it down. Experienced riders can travel by bike, and there are several local cab companies. There is off-street parking. Indoor bike storage is also available, or I can have rentals delivered and fitted to you so you can experience some of the best road and mountain biking in the country, or amble along one of the many bike paths.
