Tuka'whyl (Took-A-While)

Cozy cabin with lake views situated on the Kentucky Lake with nature abound! The cabin boast 850 square feet that includes two (2) bedrooms and one (1) bathroom. The property was remodeled in 2016 with new appliances, floors, furniture and decking. The cabin is secluded and often overlooked by the public. The deck is 12x40 and is elevated 10 feet from the ground to maximize the views. *Guests should understand that this is probably not suitable for children under 8 years of age. The space Perfect location for hunters, fishermen (please note that the driveway is limited and guests should not bring trailers/campers as there is not a turn-around- please contact host for boat ramp locations), couples and small families. Wildlife - bird watching and hiking. *Guests should note that nature is everywhere! Please be mindful that snakes, coyotes and eagles may be present. Several points of interest are Fort Donelson, Fat Daddy's and Pirates Cove Marina. *Guests should also be aware that the cabin is in the woods and is 150 yards off of the water, there is no boat ramp access on the property and this property does not provide access to the water. Guest access Guests will have access to the full living interior portion of the cabin as well as the decks/covered porch, front stairs and driveway. Guest will not have access to the storage areas underneath the cabin, deck and porch including the rear, left and right outside areas of the cabin. Other things to note We hope you enjoy your stay at our family’s lake house / cabin. Tuka’whyl was built in 1980 but has had recent renovations. This property has been an on-going family project, hence the name. The rustic charm with some modern amenities makes this the perfect place to unplug and relax. However, should you need to stay connected, you may utilize the smart tv to stream from your electronic devices, as there is no cable or internet. The structure is over 35 years old and that is part of the charm. The posted pictures were professionally captured and guest should expect that the pictures adequately represent the condition of the property, **We will provide you with the address, directions and a key to access the cabin, please have a GPS that has recently been updated as the location is sometimes not recognized on older GPSs. The host will provide: sheets, towels, tissue paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, dish washing detergent etc. Guest will be responsible for all personal items.
