Two bedrooms and a private bath offer comfort and privacy in beautiful surroundings, 6-8 minutes from two major freeways. Great retreat for a family or two couples. Peaceful garden & deck, pool and mountain vistas. The space Two bedrooms, individually decorated with cozy quilts and contemporary art, are located in our ranch house in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed. Couch bed and foam mattress are available for additional guests upon request (in a living room space). Visitors have their own bathroom. Surrounded by trees and mountains, our home provides a getaway from the LA metropolis, yet we are 6-8 minutes from two major freeways that will take you to the best of Southern California. Guest access At our home we hope that you can spend some time on our private deck, enjoying the occasional views of the city and the ocean, smelling the rosemary and orange blossoms in our backyard. We have a pool with a slide, very popular with children especially in the summer. Our pool and deck offer a great place for a pool party especially for kids, if you are looking for a special birthday. We offer a continental breakfast. You can pick an orange off our trees in season Washer/dryer, free wifi and plenty of free parking on the street. During your stay We hope to help travelers to maximize their Southern California experience. We strive to provide a restful environment, beautiful surroundings, a high level of comfort and privacy, friendly service and excellent value. We have lived in Southern California for 16 years. If you want our help, we have many guide books and lots of personal recommendations. Other things to note Hikers & Backpackers: We are five hours from the Sierras, but only minutes from hundreds of great hiking trails in three mountain ranges. We can help you plan a trip to the Sierras or find a great day hike nearby. Shoppers and Diners: We are within ten minutes of Montrose Village with dozens of great restaurants and boutiques. The Americana and Galleria Malls in nearby Glendale feature all the major department . We have a wonderful dog named Sam, a golden retriever mix. Other than wagging his tail, his major responsibility is getting the paper every morning. He is gentle and great with kids! He lives indoors and outdoors, not allowed in guest rooms. We especially welcome children and families to our house. We have a good supply of puzzles, legos, and games, the legacy of two daughters who have grown up and moved out.
