If The Carriage House is booked for your dates, check out Watson House, a 150-year-old house next door. The space Our response to COVID19: We’ve upped our usual sparky cleaning protocol to include thoroughly wiping all frequently touched surfaces with bleach cleaner. Stay safe. The Carriage House has a TV for streaming, a wood stove, a wood and marble bathroom, two big bedrooms, an open plan living/dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. This property is all about peace and quiet. Well-equipped kitchen, paperback library, wifi, fire pit, Adirondack chairs, outdoor hammock in summer. The 1100sf of living space at The Carriage House is the entire top floor of a building that was once a barn, then a school. The extra tall ceilings on the ground floor put the second-floor living space near the treetops, which we love. The lower level of The Carriage House is an unfinished space, which is not in use during guest stays, and not part of the rental. No one else uses the building while guests are staying. You have the building to yourself. The Carriage House is one of two entirely separate houses on our property, along beautiful Watson Hollow Rd. Each house has its own entirely separate outdoor space. The small private yard for this house is not visible from the main house and is bordered by the road. The Carriage House yard has a picnic table, adirondack chairs, a fire pit, a grill, and a spot to hang the hammock (provided). There is another fire pit and hammock spot by the creek across the street. The creek area is shared between the two houses. While the two houses are close to each other, each has privacy and there is huge respect for personal space here. Guest access The 1100sf of living space described here is the entire top floor of the barn. No one else will use the building while guests stay, except to briefly enter the lower level recycling and trash area. The lower level is not used in any way during guest stays and is off-limits to all. Other things to note We allow one friendly well behaved dog. We charge a one-time $50 pet fee. No puppies, dogs under 2 years, cats, or other pets. We happily welcome all responsible, happy, independent guests, and especially want to be sure that people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, ages, and religions feel welcome.
