Avalon - beautiful cabin

Discover the magic of summer camp in the woods of Maine! Stay in a beautiful cabin and enjoy our incredibly peaceful and unique property. Join us this Fall for the 2016 Common Ground Fair- we're conveniently located just 20 minutes away! The space "Avalon" is one of our newest cabins on our sprawling woodland property. The cabin itself is simple and is partitioned into three spaces perfect for a family or small group. The spaces include 5 bunk beds, a double bed, full bathroom, parking, and remote access to wifi. The 350 acres surrounding the cabin are home to a well-established, progressive arts camp for children during the summer which makes for a unique and eclectic experience: Impressive mosaics, stained glass, and sculpture are on display throughout the property while serene woods and fields make for great exploring, with a large network of trails perfect for hiking or mountain biking. There are excellent fire pits for making s'mores or hanging out under the stars...oh, and the stars here are AMAZING! We also have lake, tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, and a swing set all available for guests to use. If relaxation is what you're looking for, take a walk through our organic garden, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy our peaceful, creek-side dance studio ideal for yoga or meditation. In addition to some year-round human residents, the property is home to 8 llamas, 3 alpacas, 2 miniature ponies, 2 miniature donkeys, 3 dogs, a flock of chickens, quite a few cats, and one free-roaming, pot-bellied pig named Dexter. While the animals keep to their own spaces, you can't miss the llamas, alpacas, and Dexter who live in the center of the camp and the ponies and donkeys are a short walk from your residence if you'd like to pay them a visit. Breakfast will be included and we can provide a space to store food. Other things to note We can provide pillows however bedding is not included. Please bring sheets, blankets, sleeping bags etc. The nights here can be quite cool so please come prepared. If you require extra sleeping bags we do have some but please let us know in advance.
