As you pull up to the house after a long day of traveling, the stressors of the big city will melt away as soon as you see those gorgeous hanging lights welcoming you into (arguably) the cutest house on the block. Looking just like the winner of last year's Gingerbread House-making contest, the Cabin will be waiting for you in all its glory with red painted doors and shutters. PLUS, one of the coolest hot tubs we've seen in a while, lined with skis of years past for your soaking privacy. Classic knotty pine walls create a woodsy backdrop to the gorgeous modern furniture and adornments throughout. Stylistic touches like modern wall art, hanging antlers, Spoon flower wallpapers, and tasteful nick-nacks aplenty through the cabin make this rental really feel like a home away from home. A flat screen TV, plush seating, updated kitchen and a gas fireplace in a gorgeous stone hearth set the stage for your newest life-lasting memories. And when it's time to retire for the evening, the bedrooms lie upstairs, one with a King and the other with a Full bed, sharing a bathroom. The awe of the morning light streaming in through the trees during your first cup of coffee allows a vacation morning to start as such slow and easy. But impressively, the wooded seclusion you may fall in love with doesn't mean you have to forgo convenience in the slightest. This quaint, cozy, and easily accessible Tahoe Cabin, which will leave you wanting to return year after year! Dogs photographed are not included (though we wish they were- for your sake). Sandra our cleaner only uses Earth friendly/dog and kiddo friendly natural cleaners like vinegar and 7th generation products. -We treat our hot tub as a hotel standard for cleaning. We have the hot tub cleaned before each guest arrives and leaves. We have heard of horror stories of other airbnb's not cleaning their hot tubs enough and guests getting skin rashes and having to go to the hospital. If the hot tub is not to your standard we will even send out our hot tub cleaner while you are on your stay. We do not use harsh chemicals. -This is an original Cabin. What makes it special is that it is historical. With that, we have steep stairs going up to the second level. Many of the original cabins Tahoe just a ladder to go up to the second level, but ours has a stair case that is steep. We've had elderly guests and many little kids stay (ages 2-4) and are just fine BUT if you don't feel comfortable with a steep stair case please consider this. -What makes the cabin so peaceful is that it sits out 50 feet away from the street. With that, you will walk 50 feet of stairs from the carport (private driveway) to the house. It feels like you're nestled away but you are still in a neighborhood. Most of the airbnb's sit right at the street level but ours is unique that it sits away creating a peaceful environment. -In the Summer/Fall Months 2 Wheel drive is OK. In the winter months, please note renters should bring only 4WD or AWD cars with snow tires. It's always a good idea to carry chains as well. The driveway is shaded and can get icy, so rear-wheel cars will not be a good fit. -This driveway is a shared pull-in, and it is VERY important that no access for neighbors is blocked. Plan for only 2 spaces and please be sure to pull up close to one another. -Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe We do have 2 fans. Never have had anyone say its too hot at the property. -We have Bear Wires around the outside windows that are on during your stay to help keep bears from entering the cabin. They do a light zap if you run into them. -Renee loves hosting guests and she is always available throughout your stay. Never hesitate to reach out to her for any help. POLICIES & DISCLOSURES 1.
