Envision fog rising from the glassy waters while you sip your coffee, your days on the water, and evenings having a family-style pizza party with your private wood-burning oven. Camp Meenahga has three main structures, the Tree House, the Bunk House, and the Boathouse. The Tree House: An architecturally stunning central lodge, known for its massive tree trunk column in the great room. The Tree House is an updated lodge with a fully equipped chef's kitchen. This lodge is perfect for gathering; a comfortable spot for eating, reading, watching movies or just plain relaxing. Tucked away on the upper deck is a light-filled sunroom, perfect for laying down and watching the stars or sleeping in seclusion. There is one bathroom located in this lodge. The Tree House offers a gorgeous outdoor living space for relaxing and dining along with a wood-burning fireplace, ideal for our beloved cool summer evenings. The Bunk House: The 7 bedrooms, 4 bathroom Bunk House is where guests will lay their heads at night. On the main level are two king bedrooms, a full bed and two bathrooms, one of which features a soaking tub and steam shower. On the upper level are three king bedrooms, one queen bedroom, and another bedroom with a twin and a double. There are two bathrooms on this level with showers. The Bunkhouse is a classic, camp-style sleeping quarters. The Boat House: Beautiful, Adirondack-style boathouse where guests can dock their own motorized boat and access a number of non-motorized watercraft throughout their stay. Please note, if you would like to bring your own boat we will need to alert the caretaker for assistance. There is a canoe, kayak, SUP, rowboat and and rowing scull available for use. Most notably, there is a beautiful sandy waterfront, an ideal spot for children to play, and those seeking a gradual entry into the crisp Adirondack waters. Notable Amenities: Guests have access to a lake-side wood-burning, barrel sauna, badminton, stunning outdoor kitchen with wood-burning pizza-oven, and ping-pong table in the barn. Broadband Wifi in all buildings. Laundry facilities in the bunkhouse. Sustainability is also a key principle behind Camp Meenahga, with 25Kw of solar power, and geothermal systems for heat and hot water. Dogs: Calm, well-behaved dogs will be considered. The owners invest a great deal into maintaining the house and lawn, gardens, beachfront, paths and driveways. If your dog is a digger or might otherwise damage the plantings please don't ask to bring him or her along on your vacation. Location: Camp Meenahga is approximately 25 minutes by car to Saranac Lake and 35 minutes to Lake Placid. Gravel and road cycling, and canoe/kayaking are great directly from the camp, with, of course, all levels of walks and hikes nearby.
