Paws & Reflect is a waterfront vacation haven that offers a blend of luxury and relaxation for dogs of all sizes and their humans. Whether you're an active, outdoorsy family or friends gathering to unwind, Paws & Reflect has everything you need! The one-story, contemporary home is 3,250-square-feet and features stunning views of the Little Wicomico River and Horse Pond. It’s an ideal destination for creating cherished memories with friends, family and your beloved pooches. The space Paws & Reflect has a well-appointed kitchen with coffee and spices, spacious family gathering areas and a custom dining table that seats 8. The sheer size of the home allows everyone to spread out and enjoy their own space. There are sitting areas throughout the home for intimate conversations, watching sports, playing board games, reading a book or gazing at the water. There are dog crates and comfy resting spots throughout the home with plenty of natural light for catching an afternoon dog-nap in the sun. The 1,200-square-foot recreation room has a TV, pool table, 80s-style video games, PS4, poker table, pinball machine, bar, retro refrigerator/freezer, CD player (with 400+ CDs), record player (with 50+ records) and bathroom with a dog shower. If you have to work remotely, there's an adjustable desk for sitting or standing, a monitor, a laptop stand, a keyboard, and a mouse for those Microsoft Teams calls you can't miss. There's high-speed internet throughout the home and five Roku TVs (four in the main house and one in the recreation room) for binge-watching your favorite shows. The primary, queen and full bedrooms have electronic device charging outlets next to the bed. Outside, you can enjoy 300 feet of water frontage. Fish or kayak directly from the private dock, lounge in the hammock overlooking the water, relax on the swing, roast marshmallows by the fire pit, sit under the covered gazebo or whip up a tasty meal on one of two gas grills. The backyard is fully fenced, so your dogs can safely play and watch birds and other wildlife without worrying that they will go on an adventure off the property. You'll never get bored at Paws & Reflect. There are 5 kayaks and life vests for guest use (2 tandem, 1 fishing, 1 adult, 1 child) as well as fishing poles and tackle. Challenge your friends or family to a game of cornhole or frisbee golf in the large front yard, or take a leisurely bike ride on one of the five bikes provided on-site. Guest access There is a ramp to access the home, making it easy for dogs or humans who have difficulty navigating stairs. It's also ideal when loading or unloading your belongings on move-in or move-out day. The house and recreation room are situated on one level, making amenities easily accessible. There are stairs leading down to the dock. Other things to note Horse Pond is shallow near the Little Wicomico River and next to our dock, especially during low tide, making it ideal for novice kayakers or standup paddleboarders. Use our five kayaks or bring your own. For more experienced kayakers or paddleboarders, access to the Little Wicomico River is available through the marsh paths (see the drone photo of the pond and river in the photo gallery). If you like to fish, previous guests report catching crabs, spot croaker, puppy drum, and flounder in the pond. We have multiple fishing rods and tackle in the shed, as well as a couple of wire crab traps and one collapsible trap. Bring your own bait. If you bring your boat or jet skis, several marinas and boat slips are available, just minutes away, offering direct access to the Little Wicomico River and Chesapeake Bay. Due to the shallow marsh separating Horse Pond from the Little Wicomico River, we do not recommend navigating motorized watercrafts through this area, only kayaks or standup paddleboards. There are three dog crates inside the home: 1 metal crate in the office/side entry (25"H x 24"W x 36"L), 1 wooden crate in the primary bedroom and 1 wooden crate in the queen bedroom (each are 21"H x 17"W x 26"L).
