The Back Haus is a newly renovated studio home in Joshua Tree with incredible views of the entire desert from the front yard. Located within 5 miles of the Joshua Tree National Park entrance and a short 5 minute drive to town. We have created the perfect place for a peaceful desert retreat where you can relax, unwind and recharge. We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages! Experience a private or small group session of kundalini yoga, meditation, and/or sound bath by private teacher and energy guide. Reiki energy alignment sessions also available. Our private chef is simply the best and she can cater that whatever your specific food needs would be. Please inquire with us and we can introduce you to her. More services added regularly, please let us know you are interested with a confirmed booking and we can help with the introductions! Guest access The property and house is yours to roam and relax. Other things to note • HOUSE This house is an ADU on our personal property with its own space and land. It is a studio (bedroom without walls or doors) and the house has its own driveway for privacy. • LIGHT The house has skylights that do not have any coverings. That means that when the sun rises, it can be bright in the house. We do have blackout blinds that cover the entire length of the glass wall for privacy. • NOISE There is a fence that separates the two homes for privacy but you may hear our dog or pig roaming around in our yard. Both come inside at sunset. There are delivery trucks (USPS, UPS and FEDEX) that come to the main house regularly. They do not come to your side of the property but if the blinds are open in the Back Haus, you may be able to see them coming up our driveway (not your driveway, you have a separate driveway). The drivers cannot see inside the house. • CLEANING FEE As the top Professional Management Company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards and have been able to keep our rates low while still paying a living wage. 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. • PETS Pets of all kinds are NOT allowed. • WILD ANIMALS There are a lot of wild animals that cross through the front yard, we have a very active wild life property. More than likely during your stay you will be able to see coyotes, quails and rabbits passing through and very close to the house. All of them want to be left alone and will run away at the sight of humans. Please be mindful that this is their territory and do not try to interact with them. Do not feed the wildlife. • A/C & Heater Back Haus is cooled and heated by a central hvac system to keep you comfortable all year long. • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit located outside if allowed. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine. • WIFI Desert wifi can be super spotty and can go in and out. We have the best service for our rural area (spectrum) which has been dependable and fast for us to work from home. • GUESTS You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.
