Water's Edge Cottage

Water’s Edge is a lovely cottage located on 6 acres along the shores of Southeast Harbor in beautiful Deer Isle, ME. The cottage is flooded with light and overlooks a pond and rocky hillside. The property is on Southeast Harbor. There is access to the beach. The space Deer Isle is an island in Downeast Maine. It is accessed by a bridge and causeway from the Blue Hill Penninsula. Stonington is a vibrant fishing village that is the largest lobster port in Maine. There is excellent live theater, first-run movies, shopping, Haystack Mtn School of Crafts, many acclaimed artists, summer farmer's market, miles of hiking trails, excellent kayaking, hundreds of miles of shoreline, public beaches and places to launch boats, great restaurants and many churches. Guest access The cottage faces a tranquil pond and granite hillside. Guests have access to the ocean by walking a short distance through the gardens. There is a bench to sit on to watch the shore birds, tides and sunsets. The shoreline has many rocks that are great places to sit. Other things to note There is very spotty cell reception anywhere on the property, so do not depend on using your cell phone. A port-a-crib is available for guest use. Guests can use the sauna, but must check with the owner first. We are updating the sauna this spring.....our hope is to have it ready for use by June 1.
