Other things to note Important Local Information – Torcross Sea Defence Works: Please note: Important sea defence works are taking place in Torcross during autumn/winter 2026 and into spring 2027. These works are essential to protect the village and coastline but may result in periods of construction noise, increased lorry movements and temporary changes to local beach access. From 12 October 2026, contractor vehicles are expected to travel through the village regularly during the day, with some works potentially taking place outside normal hours due to tidal conditions. The Tank Car Park is also being used as the contractor’s site compound and will not be available for public parking during this period. Torcross and the surrounding area remain open to visitors, but we want guests to be aware of the works prior to booking. Parking: The property has no parking on site; however, there is free parking located 20 yards from the property (subject to availability).  Stokeley Farm, 2-minute drive away also offer parking at £5 for the day. You can pull up to unload in front of the property. A379 Access: Due to recent storm damage to the main road between Slapton and Torcross we advise that you enter via the town of Kingsbridge. Full details will be sent in pre-arrival details. Pets: We welcome well behaved dogs who want to come and enjoy the beach all year long. We do ask that you are respectful and clear up any mess and refrain from allowing them to use the furniture. There are towels and blankets in a box above the washing machine under the stairs for your use.
