The paved road/driveway and forest walking trail are up/down the mountain, so they are steep at places. DOGS: The Courtyard/Mossy Oak area is mulched and a favorite area for dogs to run. The fenced in field at our Ukiyo cabin is steep and probably not suitable for humans to play on. It's just a place for dogs to stretch their legs and run around in a safe area. 3 Waterfalls. Yoga platform by our Forestsong Waterfall. The Courtyard is sandwiched in-between two creeks which form the Triple Creek Waterfall past the Courtyard. 1/2 mile moderate loop Hiking Trail that takes you past all 3 waterfalls, the yoga platforms and the Courtyard. Personal Chef Dining, Elopements, Intimate Weddings, and Proposals all can be arranged at the serene setting by our Forestsong Waterfall. Spa and Wellness services are offered in-cabin or at our Forestsong Waterfall. In order to book you must call. Guest access Guests are required to sign our policies in order to stay with us and for our system to generate a door access code. We reserve the right to see ID at any time before or during the stay. DOGS ONLY. No cats or any other animal. Other things to note This cabin is nestled in a Forest on 10 acres. When designing Meraki Escape, we went to great lengths to preserve the forest environment for guests to enjoy alongside modern comforts. Please understand that you may encounter mosquitos, gnats, ticks and other wildlife such as deer, turkey, birds, butterflies, squirrels, fox, etc. around the cabins. Black bears do live in Gorges State Park (1/2 mile from Meraki Escape) and we take precautions such as storing all trash indoors, no food in the outside dog waste bins, and no bird feeders to deter the bears and luckily haven’t had one visit the cabins or our property yet. Our resident dog, Parker, as well as our neighbor dog, Dixie, also help to scare any curious bears off.
