Our place is located on a cul de sac overlooking the Guana River nature preserve, 5 minutes from the Atlantic ocean and beach. If you are looking for a secluded, quiet, peaceful getaway with a homey log cabin vibe, you'll love the Fairy Cottage. The beds are comfy and there are places to lounge around, read (lots of books and games), snooze, whatever! Restaurants, shopping and live music are nearby. Daytona beach and Orlando/Disney World/Universal Studios/Sea World are 2 to 2.5 hours by car. The space The Fairy Cottage is a 2-story log cabin built in the 1960's. It overlooks the Guana Preserve and is bordered on one side by a private club/nature area. As a guest, you will have the entire cottage to yourself. It has a homey, rustic vibe with lots of indoor and outdoor places to hang out and relax. There are 3 beds, 2 extra futons, 2 couches and a fold out cot. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, gas oven/stove, microwave, crock pot, coffee maker, French press, etc. More than 6 adults might start to feel crowded, but of course that depends on the individuals. Guests have access to the private pool area, which includes a charcoal grill. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and swimming pool. Other things to note There are numerous restaurants within 3-5 minutes drive. There is a Publix grocery store 1.5 miles away. The public beach is 3-5 minutes drive, and has free parking, showers and rest rooms. I have a few boogie boards, chairs and an umbrella you may take to the beach. A second, less crowded beach is about 8 miles away. It is a state park, with a $3 parking fee. There is a boat ramp there, too.
