We encourage you to message us if you have any questions about this requirement. Dogs 🐶: We know that dogs are cherished members of the family. That's why we welcome your furry companions. However, we ask our guest to follow our house rules. Please review them to confirm they align with you. Wildlife 🐜: Please be aware that our cabin is in the Great Smoky Mountains, and in spite of regular pest control you may encounter various insects. We ask you keep all doors and windows closed at all times to minimize insects inside the cabin. No Smoking Policy 🚭: Smoking is strictly prohibited INSIDE the cabin. The cabin is equipped with a smoke monitoring device designed to detect cigarette/vape smoke. Violation of this policy will result in the immediate termination of the booking and a $500 charge for deep clean. Firewood 🪵 : Firewood and/or charcoal is Not provided. You may purchase firewood and/or charcoal at Ace Hardware near the cabin or any nearby store. Wi-Fi: Is available; however, connectivity may be impacted given our mountainous surroundings. We are here to assist you and make your stay a memorable one. Upon booking with us you will receive a digital guidebook with all things to know about the cabin as well as a list of our favorite places to eat and visit. Guest access A few days before check-in you will be emailed your own personalized door code. The code will be valid from 4pm day of check-in to 10am check-out day. Other things to note ★★ Wildlife: Bear sightings are common when visiting the Great Smoky Mountain National Park area. For your safety, if you see one, please keep your distance, Do Not approach & Do Not feed them. Please do not leave food on the pavilion or deck area. All trash bags should be placed inside the bear-proof bins located on the side of the driveway. **Seasonal Pests:** While our home is professionally treated and maintained through a regular pest control program, occasional seasonal insects such as ladybugs, stink bugs, carpenter bees, and other native mountain pests may still be seen from time to time. The Great Smoky Mountains are their natural habitat, and their presence is common throughout the area, especially during certain seasons. We make every effort to keep the home comfortable and pest-free, but occasional encounters with local wildlife and insects are part of the authentic mountain experience. ★★ Hot tub: For your safety Do Not use if you're pregnant and/or if you have been drinking. ★ ★ Well water: Our water is sourced from a well and although we do have a water treatment system you may wish to bring bottled water. ★★ Indoor Fireplace: The indoor fireplace is gas and is shut down from March-October. ★★ Travel Insurance: Please note we do not issue refunds for weather, natural disasters, power outages, and things out of our control. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance should you need to cancel outside of our policy window. ★★ Dog Policy: We welcome your furry companions and allow up to 2 dogs max & have a $150 non-refundable pet fee per stay. We do not allow dogs on the furniture and require they be crated if left unattended. There will be a $500 deep clean fee should there be an excessive cleaning due to your dog. We provide a dog crate, please let us know if you need it prior to your arrival. ★★ Emergencies: We are available to answer any questions and/or concerns.
