Firefly Beach Cottage- A Slice of Paradise

Welcome to the Firefly Beach Cottage! Located right on the beach where the tropical forest meets the ocean. The cottage is tucked away behind the palms, just steps from the sand. A refreshing swimming pool is set in the lush gardens surrounded by plenty of space to relax and enjoy the wildlife. A short walk to town you will find grocery stores, restaurants and shops. There are 3 charming, well appointed accommodations on this stunning property. A great destination for total wellbeing! The space The true beauty of this rustic beach cottage is it's location, set just steps from the ocean, in your own private tropical forest. The main octagonal shaped room has natural wood features. The high ceiling and large doors allow the breeze to flow through. The beds have hotel quality sheets, pillows and mosquito nets. There is a ceiling fan mounted above the king sized bed and an additional floor fan. The futon folds into a bed large enough for a single adult or child. A fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare and enjoy your meals at home. With our own well on the property, the water is safe to drink from the faucet. The spacious bathroom has a shower with hot and cold water. It isn't uncommon to see a family of howler or white faced monkeys, agoutis, red tailed squirrels, iguanas, or tiger herons as you eat your breakfast looking into the garden. Surrounding the cottage are very tall trees, many tropical plants attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. There are plenty of spots to sit outside to soak up the natural beauty in the shade or sun. While many people come to Costa Rica to see monkeys and exotic birds, there's a good chance you will see a variety of insects, crabs and lizards. Some people find that charming while others do not appreciate house guests. The crabs are especially active in the rainy season (May-November). Please consider the likelihood of seeing insects and crabs when traveling to Costa Rica, especially if you choose to stay in a jungle and beach front location. Guest access The shared areas include the swimming pool, sun beds, gardens, chill out bed, ping pong table and barbecue. Other things to note Free wifi on the property. A house keeper will change the sheets and sweep every 5 days. Arrival: A 4x4 is required to park inside the property or there's 150 mts of walking distance from public parking space.
