The historic Joseph Willis House was built in 1840, and was occupied by the Union (Federal) army in August 1864 during the American Civil War. There was a field hospital in our next door neighbor's front yard to the north. The Union army installed their cannons on a hill that is located 400 feet south of us. A battle occurred across the street to the east, in our neighbor's backyard. There is a resident volunteer who provide tours and light concierge support. The space You would be welcome to cook family style dinners and gather around the dining room table. The pantry and spice drawers are well stocked for your convenience.
