The Granary is a delightful and charming farm building a luxurious, yet cosy haven for those who want a romantic getaway or a tranquil, rural holiday. The Granary is ideally situated down a quiet lane yet near to the A14 allowing easy access to the Suffolk countryside, the coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold, the Newmarket racecourse and even the colleges of Cambridge. Note the property is not suitable for children older than 1 year or pets. The space This unique timber framed building consists of two levels, enjoying a well- appointed, open plan kitchen , dining and living space with a beautiful boot room entrance for walking boot storage after enjoying our plentiful supply of local footpaths from the back door. Upstairs there is a landing space which is perfect for quiet reading or for laptop use, with full fibre being available throughout the property. The luxurious bathroom will allow you to feel pampered, whist the spacious and beautifully timbered bedroom has a glorious VI Spring King size bed, providing the perfect night's rest. Throughout, the property has been furnished with well-loved family pictures and furniture, making The Granary a very special and unique holiday retreat. Guest access The Accommodation. Sitting Room: Furnished with a sofa, two further armchairs and plenty of side tables for that accompanying drink, this makes for a relaxing space at the end of a day's exploring. There is a smart flat television connected to the wifi. An antique dining table can seat 4 guests comfortably. Kitchen: Luxuriously finished with white marble tops and a deep Belfast sink, this kitchen will tempt you to cook! There is an induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher together with a wide range of serving bowls and dishes, utensils and kitchen aids. Boot Room entrance: Coming in from the west ground floor entrance is a wonderful, boot space for muddy wellingtons, with plenty of room for coat hanging and further cupboard storage for cases and bags. Downstairs Bathroom: A sink and W.C. Landing: A short flight of steps leads you to the landing space equipped for reading in a tucked away area with a standard lamp, desk and chair. Master bedroom: Impressively spacious and calm, this gloriously comfortable King size mattress comes with luxuriant bed linen, gorgeous quilts and throws. There are bespoke cupboards with plenty of hanging space, comfortable reading chairs, bedside tables with lights and a smart television for relaxing viewing at the end of the day. From the bedroom there is an external door which leads to a balcony space where you can sit at the bistro table and chair enjoying your morning coffee in the sunshine, surveying the rural views. Bathroom: With white painted beams, this smart bathroom is equipped with a centrally placed, roll-top bath and generous walk-in shower, together with W.C. and marble topped double sink vanity unit, furnished with indulgent towels, enjoying views over rolling fields beyond. The property is grassed around with a gravel path lined with sweet smelling Christmas Box leading from one external door to another. The bedroom balcony has an external staircase down to the ground level. Other things to note The old, oak entrance door is somewhat unusual in that the key to unlock must be used upside down and in reverse!
