Our loft is a cool, spacious place of modern architecture in one of the old mansions of Boulevard Artigas, one of Montevideo's main avenues. It is located close to the University of Architecture, not far from the Rodo Park and the centric Golf Club. The space The loft combines modern comfort with turn of the century charm and offers generous space. It is a transformed attic from an old mansion at the Boulevard Artigas, one of the main avenues in Montevideo. My wife and me designed it for us two to stay there, and ended up staying over vacation periods with our three children (five in total) and, ...nobody wanted to leave. Later a young celebrity couple rented it from us while my family and me were living in Brazil and later in Europe. The couple did not want to move out any more, even after they got their first child. Once you are there, you don't want to leave, this has been confirmed by journalists that published the space in a regional architectural magazine. Guest access Other than the comfortably equipped loft with its two balconies, you will have access to a parking space in case you require it for a (rental) car. Other things to note Please be aware that Boulevard Artigas is splendid, but can at times be noisy (one of my many guests reminded me recently). I should also mention that you can get with a lift to the second floor, but to get to the third floor where the loft is located, you shall take a stair. This year we equipped all bedrooms and the livingroom-area with air-conditioning, as during summer some guests requested it (also in Uruguay summers get hotter than it used to be).
