Guests should be comfortable with lots of bird, frog and other nature sounds. And there are 3 flights of wooden jungle stairs to climb which can be a bit of an adventure in the dark or when wet! Please always be careful and hold railings! The cottage does have hot water but be mindful of consumption as we are using a rain water catchment system;) Remember there is only an enclosed plant filled outdoor shower(there could be bugs that visit you! It’s outdoors!) Speaking of bugs-leave your screen doors shut at all times if you don’t want mosquitoes to enter cottage. You have a Water filtration canister for drinking water-if it runs out just fill it from the top with tap water(you have a glass carafe for filling it)-do not move it or take is apart please! Your stove is gas and has an ignition(the star button) no matches are required just turn gas on and press the star button. Please always be sure gas is turned off when not in use!! Garbage should be removed every other day to the orange barrels in the street(we provide you with extra compostable trash bags in the can) if you leave it for more the 3 days fruit flies and maggots😝will come(in the tropics things decay much faster! Put all your open food in the fridge- Bread, cereal etc. or else it might get moldy plus it will attract bugs! If you feel like composting- We have a compost spinner at the top of the wooden stairs-and you have a compost bucket under the sink for any fruit or veggie scraps only-but remember to dump it every other day like the trash;) Unfortunately Rincón only recycles plastic-please rinse your plastic and put it in recycling can and I will remove it when you go. If the power goes out-once it comes back on you might need to reset the wifi by pressing the power button on top of the router(the fridge and electronics are plugged into brownout protectors as PR has a very bad power grid-when power goes out or is low they will turn orange and take 3 minutes to turn back on when power comes back-please do not unplug them!
