Our space started as my husbands "man cave." A place to display his hunting accomplishments and do all things manly. Yet, as the project progressed it turned into a lovely rustic lodge that we'd like to share with you. Just 5 miles North of Sturgis we provide a space that is minutes away from Bear Butte State park, the beautiful Black Hills and sits on a quiet valley acreage. It would be ideal for anyone visiting the area who enjoys fresh country air and a bit of rustic charm. Our rental space is built on two levels. The main level provides a bathroom, kitchenette and living space. A queen size sofa sleeper provides optional sleeping space on this level. Upstairs you will find a living room with a couch, queen size murphy style bed and a bedroom with a king as well as a small regular size bed (this bed is from my great-grandparents generation and a bit shorter than today’s beds... 5’ 9in.) and a loveseat sofa sleeper with a small pullout bed ideal for kids. A private deck is located off of the bedroom with magnificent views of the surrounding valley. We are not a working farm, but have more of a 4-H project turned hobby farm. A few chickens roam our space, along with a small flock of sheep and a couple dogs and cats. Feel free to visit the chicken coop and gather farm fresh eggs for breakfast! Guests will have access to the rental space and plenty of front door parking. Guests will a use keypad to check in. Our rental space is built near our home and connected to our second garage (renters will not have access to the garage space). Our physical availability to renters will vary based on what is going on in our lives, but can always be reached with messages through Airbnb, e-mail or texting. Our location offers peace and quiet, beautiful views of Bear Butte, and the surrounding Black Hills. It is a great place to kick back and relax. If you are in the area for a hunting trip, the motorcycle rally or just visiting, our location offers plenty of parking space and easy access, with just a few miles drive to Main Street Sturgis, HWY's 79 and 34 as well as Interstate 90. (Our property is located off of well maintained county gravel roads, and is approx. a 5 mile drive to Sturgis or HWY 79) Kitchenette cooking includes electric griddle, toaster, microwave, electric 2 burner unit, and George Forman grill. (Our kitchenette does not have an oven/range unit) An outdoor propane BBQ grill is also available for use!
