Drake Bay beachfront cabina - La Joyita

Welcome to La Joyita, our beautifully crafted, private cabin, steps away from an often deserted beach on the shores of stunning Drake Bay. La Joyita boasts a fully equipped kitchen, hot water throughout, and excellent, high-speed wifi (Starlink). A west-facing, covered porch is the perfect place to chill in the hammocks and catch the magnificent sunsets. We are located just outside of town - about a 20 minute walk to the centre (a taxi can also be arranged). *2nd cabina listing coming soon* The space Beach lovers - look no further. La Joyita is nestled into the flora and fauna that Drake Bay is famous for. West facing (perfect for sunsets) with a grassy, well maintained front yard, charcoal BBQ and outdoor eating space for dining al fresco. Wild, jungle-wilderness paints a beautiful scene in the backyard. La Joyita boasts a stunning ocean view, and is located mere steps from the warm waters of the pacific. The location is unbeatable and unlike any other cabin rentals currently available in Drake Bay. We are blessed to be located just outside of town, so away from the busy town centre, but close enough (20 minute walk) if you'd like to go out for a meal. Guest access La Joyita has a private driveway, and is fully self-sufficent. You can access the beach easily via a trail from the cabin, or cross the grassy front yard and utilize the concrete steps (shared with hosts). La Joyita is compact and well appointed - kitchen, washroom, bedroom, outside covered porch with hammocks, chairs, table & an outdoor, shaded concrete picnic table. There are mango, palm and starfruit trees in the yard, which help attract white faced monkeys, scarlet macaws, green parrots & toucans. A small river borders the property, and a short walk upstream takes you to a refreshing hot-tub-sized pool of cool, natural spring water, perfect for rinsing off after a dip in the ocean. There are many activities in Drake Bay - SCUBA diving or snorkelling at Caño Island, horseback riding, hiking (through the jungle to waterfalls, along oceanside trails, or in Corcovado National Park) deep sea fishing, kayaking, night hikes as well as seasonal turtle nesting and whale/dolphin watching. We can help you reserve any and all of these tours, or recommend to you reputable tour operators in the area. Other things to note Drake Bay is a wonderful area and the local village, Agujitas is a laid-back, jungle town. Dependent on your method of arrival, excessive luggage can be a bad idea and tends to go unused in the heat and humidity of the Osa, so travel basics, quick-drying clothing and a sense of adventure are ideal. There are no banks, ATMs, or gas stations in Drake Bay, so please make sure you bring as much cash as you'll need, and if you're coming in a car, be sure to gas up beforehand. One can get here by boat via Sierpe which is a "wet" landing on the beach, by plane with regional airlines Sansa, or by road via rental car (4x4 required) or taxi.
