Sloth House I is a private custom house with designed for style and comfort.This house, property lot/pool (NOT SHARED WITH ANY OTHER GUESTS) Just a 5 minutes to the black sand beach. Cool off in our private swimming pool in the day, or sitting by the gas fireplace and enjoy the illuminated landscape gardens in the night. Guests receive complimentary coffee, bottle of wine and organic chocolate with stay. Perhaps the best part of your stay is our 30 foot high birdwatching observation deck The space We appreciate you inquiring with us. With so many options to spend your hard earned time and money, let's focus on what we do and don't have. Comfort- Everyone wants to be comfortable, so we designed this home to be just that. Comfortable, and still not consume a lot of electric energy to accomplish this.. This being said, We do not have the hum of an air-conditioning unit blowing your breath back at you, but we have ceiling fans that circulate fresher air. Fun- We built this home to be fun. Imagine having your coffee on the observation deck, looking down at the sloths, birds and other ground animals. A dip in the pool surrounded by all this nature, or at the beach. A stroll on the provided bicycle along the bike paths to town, 5 minute away, and the beach one minute away. It's all so fun! We don't have much concrete, but natural materials with natural settings. Even our shower is outdoor, with privacy of course. Fun! Our roofs are natural palm. How cool is that! One of the very few, if not the only home in all this area with this feature. which is quite impressive, giving us the coolness of the palm roof reflecting the sun's rays from the heat of the sun, or the dampened sound of the rain drops on the palm roof showering you with peace and relaxation. These are certainly some of the best experiences. Rain or shine, you will have a great time in this home. Whether you are enjoying your time on the 30+ foot high observation deck, or cooling off by the pool and/or ocean. If this sounds like the magic place you want to stay, we will be glad to welcome you with open arms. We have had many honeymooners and anniversaries of all kinds. We were even filmed on an episode of House Hunters International, (Limon episode). Fun! By far most importantly, we work to preserve the sloths in working with the Sloth Foundation. Its important to me to preserve all of nature. The sloth ropes that the foundation installed from the surrounding trees, to a beam extended out from the observation deck. Its quite impressive, and may be the only setup in this area.i hope you get a chance to experience it. Please note- even though these homes are amazing, this one being the Sloth 1 (Sloth 1 and Sloth 2) They are certainly not for everyone, and Please use your do- diligence before booking your stay. I want you to have a great vacation, and in the end, that's entirely up to you.... That being said, I hope this is a great fit for you to perhaps think outside the concrete boxes, and you May have been trying to avoid all along, while on your vacation, to begin with. If this is the case, this is your place. We usually have daily sightings of the sloth. I think of it as being emersed in nature, like a zoo, and without the cages. These animals are free to roam. We are on our second family for the sloths more recently. A mother with her baby were spotted together recently, with the baby wrapped around the mothers belly. and the father close by..it's a jungle out here, with monkeys, birds and ground animals to choose from. Night sightings are very often obtained, for me often when checking guests in. makes for a nice check in, day or night. The property is on a private lot features a fully . Landscaped garden with private swimming pool. We have private secure parking. 5 minute walk to the bus stop. Taxi, shuttle bus and rental cars are available. we can help with booking any of these services. The property is only a five minute walk to the beach. 20 minute walk to the town of Puerto Viejo, or a 5 minute drive to Puerto Viejo. As far as ground transportation, often the highlight of our guests trip we are told is the river rafting trip. It includes ground transportation to, or from our house on to San Jose, day of rafting includes breakfast and lunch. The cost is $99 pp. I Just thought I'd mention this as renting a car is not always necessary for getting around our area, as I include 2 bikes with our villa rental if you would like to travel by this means. Other things to note Tropics- This tropical jungle is one of the most diverse in the world, and this being said, it is always good to be prepared for such climate changes and conditions. It is suggested to bring proper clothing such as rain gear. Yes, there are mosquitos almost everywhere you go. Wearing proper protection such as shoes, socks and long clothing, mainly in the evening times. Mosquitos are a very important part of the pollination of plants. Although they are here, it's not to say you will get bit.
