The main crossing costs R$ 1.75 (December R$ 2.00), we also have the Taxi Boat service that costs a little more, but as the name implies it is very fast and can take you to various places inside the Marapendi Lagoon, apart from sightseeing tours where you can see alligators and capybaras in our "Pantanal Carioca". The chalana, besides being pleasant, makes Gigoia Island one of the safest places in Rio de Janeiro. Inside Gigoia Island, there are several bars and restaurants, a mini market, bakery, pizzeria, pharmacy, among other services. Other things to note To access Gigoia Island, you have to take a boat/ferry that takes less than 1 minute and costs R$ 1.75 per person (December R$ 2.00). The ferries are available 24 hours a day and depart every 5 minutes. There is also a Taxi Boat service (Metrô deck costs 4.00 to my house). On Gigoia Island there are mini markets, a bakery, restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, a tobacco shop, a pizzeria… **We are always available to answer any questions and assist guests with tourist tips about the city of Rio de Janeiro. By the way, I recommend our guests ask the boatman for a tour of the Barra Islands, in our Rio de Janeiro wetlands, where we are in direct contact with nature. It is possible to see alligators, capybaras, birds and monkeys that are part of the habitat.
