Comfy King Beds, Wildlife Wandering by, Ocean Waves just past the tree line, An Occasional Distant Foghorn & A Hammock on the front porch are sure to Help Visitors Unwind The space This home is in the heart of Fort Stevens Historic Area & Features a Standby Back-up Generator. This natural gas system starts automatically via a transfer switch, ensuring uninterrupted power for the entire house, eliminating worry of unexpected power outages. With Lots of "pull through parking" for boats, This Fabulous Find Favors Fishermen & Families Alike! Enjoy many military artifacts and interpretive displays at the Museum along with guided and narrated tours during the summer months. Special events include Civil War Reenactments, Military Vehicle Collectors Club, Friends of Old Fort Stevens Picnic and Weekend Living History and cannon firing. Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily (April to November). Winter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (November to April) Guest access Historic Fort Stevens access gate is usually unlocked Dawn to Dusk. As this is the shortest bike and walking route to the beach, it is wise to be aware of times the access gates are locked, to avoid being inconvenienced by having to go around on the road. Fort Stevens State Park closes Beach access at 10:00PM. Security is enforced by on duty ranger. Other things to note Lots of on site parking, full size washers & dryers, Propane Fire pits & BBQ grills, & a Huge Covered Deck. Keep your eyes open for elk and deer at dusk or dawn. We very often see them right off the deck. If the elk or deer come in close, which they do occasionally, do not feed them or try to touch them. It is illegal to touch the deer or elk (these are wild animals). 1% Clatsop County And 12% City of Warrenton Transient Room Taxes are included in the pricing. This is not something we retain any part of and it is collected on behalf of the City, County and State, then forwarded in it's entirety to the respective entities.
