Rifugio is one of the few cabins in the Cold Springs area with Air Conditioning AND a Generator on the quietest street in Cold Springs! An open floor plan, we have beautiful slate floors in the kitchen, great room & dining room, granite tile in the kitchen, & comfy carpet in the bedrooms. 2,160 square feet of living space & over 500 sf deck space. The master bedroom & on-suite bath are on the main living level along with the 1/2 bath, & the 2 other bedrooms are upstairs, with another bathroom. This is a great property for making life-long memories with your family and friends! The wide open spaces of the kitchen, dining and great room allow for wonderful togetherness, but then having the two bedrooms upstairs with a separate bathroom allow for escape, if need be. The outside deck is wrap-around and is the perfect place to spend Summer evenings, or Winter days playing in the snow. Our side yard has a great hill for sledding, and our road is a nice, gradual drop so if you can beat the snow plow, you can sled for approximately 1/4 mile! We recently installed a huge generator, so there will never be power outage issues! Even in the snow, you will be warm and safe, and in the Summer months with red flag days, if PG&E shuts off the power, we will still be up & running! The whole house is yours! We always like to call the first night of your stay to make sure you found everything to your liking. We are great communicators prior to your arrival and make sure you know every detail via a Welcome Letter. We are at the bottom of the subdivision, so it is very quiet and serene. There is no cabin in the lot behind us, so that also makes for a very private retreat. We are only seven minutes away from Pinecrest Lake for great Summertime experiences - playing on the beach, renting a boat and fishing, or hiking around it. In the Winter, Dodge Ridge is just 15 minutes away and Leland Snowplay is just up Highway 108 for great family sledding.
