Homely country cottage with sunshine and space

Plan your spring stay in this cosy older property set in a 1/4 acre lawned plot with flowers, weeping willow, deck and fire pit. Neighbours, close enough for company, far enough for privacy. Open views with sunshine pouring into the kitchen most of the day. A quiet street with just 4 houses. A short walk will take you to all village amenities and to stunning sunset views across the bay. The original 2 room house has been extended over the years to provide a kitchen diner, bathroom and downstairs bedroom in addition to the living room and upstairs bedroom. It is now a cute country home with a sunny deck and views to surrounding countryside. Eating at the kitchen table, you have southerly view to watch the sky, sun and clouds pass behind the trees and a church spire. Being close to the sea, there is often a breeze blowing through and laundry dries quickly, flapping on the line. Recently insulated throughout and with baseboard heating, it is a comfortable 3 season house. Guest access The whole house and yard is yours to use during your stay. Our plot is limited by the rows of trees on either side. Please do not use the large grass area to the right of the house - this belongs to the neighbour. Otherwise, plenty of space to find sun or shade, indoors or out. Help yourself to any herbs in the garden (Mint, thyme, oregano and chives can be found). Parking is available on the driveways either side of the house. Other things to note With no TV and no Wi-Fi, time to enjoy each other’s company or a good book. The kitchen is fully equipped (but no dishwasher), so you can even bake cakes and cookies on rainy days if you want to! There is a folder with local visitor information and details on the house facilities. Laundry and washing-up liquids are supplied, as are bags for garbage and recycling (check the folder for details). Extra bedding is available if the weather turns cooler. We do not provide Internet, TV or other entertainment devices as we hope you will be enjoying the great outdoors. Issues with sulphur smells in the water have been fixed.
