We are in “La Floresta” Quito´s trendy new gastronomic, artistic and cultural district Ecofriendly practices are part of our daily activities In our vacation-rental suite, family history, contemporary comfort breathe together; thanks to a careful choice of furnishings, accessories that portray a distinctive, appealing atmosphere of warmth and subtle modern elegance For outdoor relax and enjoyment there´s a pergola, adjacent to a nicely-tended garden OUR MISSION.- Honoring “hospitality”, as one of our family´s traditions, we open the doors of our Quito city house and welcome guests. While on our premises, we would like to contribute for a pleasant residence and unique living experience. OUR VISION.- It is our intention that, whether you are on a long stay or a short visit, our suite becomes “your city base” while exploring: “La Floresta´s” neighborhood appealing attractions, Quito´s city enchanting marvels and/or Ecuador´s country natural diversity. The suite presents a careful display of: recycled antiques, family heirlooms, lush indoor plants, custom-made furniture and local crafts. As a counterpart a selection of: quality modern furniture, appliances, accessories, art work and travel souvenirs; convey a distinctive atmosphere of subtle elegance with warmth and contemporary comfort HOUSE, SUITE AND GARDEN PROFILE.- The independent suite is located on the ground floor, one of three living units of a two stories 1960´s fully renovated house. The suite presents a careful display of: recycled antiques, family heirlooms, lush indoor plants, custom-made furniture and local crafts. As a counterpart a selection of: quality modern furniture, appliances, accessories, art work and travel souvenirs; convey a distinctive atmosphere of subtle elegance with warmth and contemporary comfort. A front garden is next to a well-equipped covered terrace that overlooks the street. Garden and pergola are intended as shared spaces for guests´ interaction and contact with nature. SUITE CONTENTS AND FURNISHINGS.- The (44 sq. m. / 473.44 sq. ft.) well-furnished suite has: - Living-dining room, each accommodates four people seated. Four places with china, table and silverware. - Kitchenette well-equipped with: a sink, 2 element/ glass-ceramic electric cooktop, under the counter refrigerator, microwave oven, blender, juicer, coffee grinder, toaster, electric kettle, two coffee makers, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. - Master bedroom with hotel quality queen size bed (160 cm x 190 cm.), king size goose down comforter and pillows, thermal blanket, 32” LED TV with r/c, closet and hangers. - Bathroom with shower (w/ folding plastic shower chair) and hairdryer. - All spaces equipped with stereo system/speakers, Wi-Fi and free internet access. - One oil-electric heater and one ceiling fan with r/c (use if needed). OUTDOOR SHARED SPACES.- A covered porch precedes the entrance to the suite. Next to the front garden a covered terrace (20 sq. m. / 215,20 sq. ft.) is furnished with: outdoor gas space-heater, kitchenette, electric/gas stoves, firewood oven, table and chairs; inviting you to: interact with guests, relax, read, have a cup of coffee/tea, eat or cook outdoors or simply enjoy the lawn and sway in a colorful hammock. (installed when good weather allows). SUITE´S SAFETY/ SECURITY EQUIPMENT.- Two smoke detectors, 1 emergency light, alarm system, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, accessible windows and entrance door with metal-bar protections, exterior lights with movement sensors. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.- Electricity in outlets runs at 110-120 v., 60 Hz. (three prong grounded outlets) HOT WATER SYSTEM.- Heated by solar panels (6 sq. m. / 64.56 sq. ft.) with a 70 gal. storage-tank and a built-in electrical back-up. As additional back-up we have: two electrical water-tanks (50 gal. ea.) and an extra gas water-heater. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY.- 1 guest or 2 guests (1 couple) SERVICES AND PROVISIONS INCLUDED IN RATE.- In addition to the furnishings listed above we provide: vase with fresh flowers, electricity, 32” LED T.V. (local channels), music amplifier (speakers in all rooms), cold and hot water, free 20 Mg Wi-Fi and internet access, liquid hand and dish soap, kitchen paper towels and toilet paper, laundry soap and fabric softener. Suite´s cleaning and provision of clean towels and bed linen is made on a weekly basis. We provide ingredients for one courtesy breakfast. LAUNDRY SERVICE.- Clothes washer/dryer access may be requested at owner facilities, as an alternative, clothes may be dried in the garden cloth-lines. Professional cleaner service can be requested (charged by cleaner). WE DO NOT.- - Accept: pets, smoking, parties nor loud music inside the suite. - Have facilities for wheelchairs. (From street level there are 11 outdoor steps to climb). - Accept guests accompanied with children under 12 years of age. REGISTRATION FORM.- Upon arrival a form needs to be filled with name/s, nationality, passport/ID number/s, dates of arrival and departure, flights, permanent address, phone numbers, copy of passport/s and signature/s. SECURITY DEPOSIT.- Any property and/or furnishing damages will be applied and charged via AIRBNB´s security policy. INVOICE.- The proper invoice will be issued at the end of the lodging service. RESERVATION IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.- The right for the stay could not be transferred, only names included in the registration form will be honored and for the time and dates (reservation) agreed. PAYMENTS.- Payments made directly to AIRBNB. RENOVATION, EXTENSIONS.- Renovations and stay extensions will be accepted only through the AIRBNB reservation system. Owners live at the premises. Helpful aid on demand. Languages: ES, EN, CZ, FR THE NEIGHBORHOOD.- We are in “La Floresta” neighborhood, Quito´s fringe north-central-eastern area, amidst architectural heritage buildings, in what is now the city´s trendy “new gastronomic, artistic and cultural district”. Our location is conveniently close, with a taxi ride, to: the well-known “Old Town Colonial Quito” (20 min.), to the airport (45 min.) and a (5 min.) walk to the “Mirador de Guápulo” (view point). The neighborhood is fully-equipped to satisfy a variety of guests´ needs and interests. In a radius of 10 blocks from our house, within walking-distance and easy access, you will find: - (20) Local artists shops/ateliers /galleries, (5) theaters/art cinemas, (3) museums. - A large and growing selection of upscale: (15) restaurants, (8) cafeterias and (3) bakeries. - (5) Banks /ATM, (7) embassies, (3) ambassador residences and (15) major private and public office buildings. - (2) Supermarkets, (1) farmer´s market, (8) organic products, groceries stores and (3) pharmacies. - (4) Cleaners, (3) gyms, (4) barber/ beauty shops and (3) SPAs. - (3) International hotels, (4) universities, (4) churches and (4) travel agencies. - (6) Bus and (1) trolleybus lines, (3) taxi companies, bike facilities ((2) routes, (2) repair shops and (2) rentals). - Neighborhood police office. - Conveniently located commercial areas, organic farmer´s market, stores, services and urban amenities. For gourmets we recommend restaurants with well-known cuisines like: (Gloria (Peruvian international), Kobe (Sushi), Osaka (Japanese), La Briciola (Italian), Pavaroti (Mediterranean), Noe (Sushi), Segundo Muelle, La Vieja Europa (Italian), Swisshotel (Japanese, French), Happy Panda (Chinese) among others. Public transportation along major avenues: taxis (on the street or by phone call) and a combination of trolley -bus network (1 block), throughout the city (with direct connections to airport and (N/S)) city main bus terminals. - Bicycle facilities: routes, repair shops and rentals. ECO-FRIENDLY PRACTICES.- Daily/weekly/permanently we: - Recycle kitchen waste. - Save water, with saver shower heads and faucets together with retrofitted toilet tanks. - Water the garden and planters with an automated water-drip irrigation system. - Have changed to LED light bulbs where possible. - Heat water with solar energy panels (electric back-up). - Tend to our garden to contribute with food/shelter/nesting facilities for visiting birds and pollinators.
