Home in Takoma Park

This room is inspired by local flavors and the era in which our home was built. Thought has gone into color choices, every piece of furniture, and use of space to provide you with the best possible experience. Come and relax. Stay for a while. You’ll love my place for the neighborhood, ambiance, comfy bed, friendly hosts, accessibility to DC, safety, free parking, little neighborhood libraries, and lots of character! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The space This room is inspired by local flavors and the era in which our home was built. Thought has gone into color choices, every piece of furniture, and use of space to provide you with the best possible experience. We have collected pieces of art from local artists which you can admire while listening to the birds chirp outside. Have the pleasure of sleeping on a queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress that you won't forget. Its so comfortable you may not want to get out of bed in the morning! Cook breakfast or dinner in a brand new kitchen which will inspire some of the best flavors in the neighborhood or take advantage of the room's coffee maker and mini fridge. In your spare time, feel free to read one of the books located on top of the dresser. Make yourself at home. Guest access You have access to your room, our brand new kitchen, as well as a two shared bathrooms - one on the top floor of the house, the other next to the kitchen. The middle floor of the house is where my husband Kevin and I live. On the basement level, you will have access to a shared laundry facility where you can wash your clothes, if needed. Upon booking, you will be given instructions on how to get to our house as well as the code to open the front door and door to laundry room (no keys!). During your stay Either my husband Kevin or I will be available during the course of your stay. We both work during the day but are very flexible and will make the process as smooth as possible for you.
